Who We Are and What We Do
Authentic Health is a distinctive, privately owned practice dedicated to supporting the developmental, physical, and overall well-being of children, adults, and families throughout the community and surrounding areas. Our team of skilled, caring therapists is passionate about empowering each person to experience freedom in areas that are currently limiting their ability to live life to its fullest.
At the heart of our practice is a genuine commitment to people. We value the relationships we build with our clients and their families, and take the time to understand unique needs. We believe meaningful progress happens when care is personalized, collaborative, and provided at a pace that feels comfortable for growth. Our goal is not simply to help somebody overcome difficulties, but to equip them with the ability to grow, thrive, and experience all that life has to offer.
We are committed to bringing up to date knowledge, thoughtful care, and individualized treatment in our Pediatric Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Therapy, and complementary manual therapy approaches. In a world that promises quick fixes, we are intentional, and dedicated to understanding the unique underlying factors affecting function and wellness in each client. We desire to help people experience meaningful and lasting improvements.
Our therapists understand sensory systems, child development, human physiology, the impact of toxins in our world (air/food/water), and the many interconnected factors that influence each person's well-being, including the ability to sustain a sense of center and maintain emotional regulation. We recognize that each person is uniquely wired and physical abilities, emotional well-being, and a myriad of other personal factors can all play important roles in a person's journey to independence. Taking all factors into consideration, we strive to provide compassionate, comprehensive care that honors individual and family needs and supports each child's or adult's potential.

Pediatric Occupational Therapy
A child’s “occupation” is to play interactively, to move freely and independently, and to complete daily activities with confidence. Our therapists evaluate a child’s current abilities in relation to what is developmentally appropriate for their age, then help them develop missing foundations which allow for success in areas that had previously been a challenge. We address sensory, motor, reasoning, social, and behavioral skills.
Kids with certain medical conditions or processing challenges benefit from OT services. These issues can include birth injuries, sensory processing disorders, learning challenges, traumatic injuries, low muscle tone, autism and pervasive developmental delay, cerebral palsy, motor planning concerns/clumsiness, dyslexia, dysgraphia, and more.
Other Specialized Therapies
Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance. Compromises in the cerebrospinal pathway often lead to nervous system restrictions and create “dis-ease” in the body. Opening this path releases these challenges. Specialized Kinesiology releases stress and opens circuits that are blocked within the body's many systems, releasing targeted areas stress from the body and mind allows for the body's natural nourishment and detox pathways to function, thus health can return. Manual therapy can remove pain and inflammation following injury, as well as improve joint issues, balance challenges, neck/back/hip difficulties and a host of other areas of dysfunction.
Each of these approaches is unique and can be administered in a pure format (strictly one) or used in combination as each body needs in order to address unique patterns of each person. We have been privileged to help people find healing in their bodies when other more traditional approaches (PT, Chiropractic, etc.) have not been successful.
A recent addition to our specialized therapy approaches include bioresonance therapy. This therapy targets inner organ systems and pathways that are needing healing or strengthening.
Pediatric Speech Therapy
In addition to our sensory-based pediatric occupational therapy, Kid Talk PLC has joined our office location, offering excellence in pediatric speech-language therapy services.
Our pediatric speech clinic is located at 183-4 Keith Street next door to our pediatric OT and manual therapy office at 173-3 Keith Street in the Villa Park Business complex in Warrenton, VA.
