What are Sensory Systems

There are eight sensory systems we focus on; five that are generally directly addressed in sensory integration therapy (visual, auditory, tactile, vestibular, and proprioceptive). Christie Pride, M.Ed., OTR/L recently gave a presentation to families in a foster community explaining these systems a little bit, and teaching how we can know if a child is off as well as some simple things we can do to help.
